Kangna ranawat won the national award of best actress for the films manikarnika and panga. Manoj Bajpayee won the National Award for his performance in the film Bhonsle where he played the role of a retired Mumbai police officer. The actor Dhanush won the National Award for his performance in Tamil film Asuran. Asuran is based on the novel by Poomani, Vekkai. Kangna ranawat thanked to the film makers of manikarnika and panga, she also giving thanks all the cast and crew of the film.
