According to local media reports, in January, an elderly couple had lodged a complaint in the police that someone broke into 150 gold  ornaments and mobile phones of Rs 4.75 lakh while breaking into their house. After the complaint, the Mumbai Police discovered CCTV footage in the building in which they showed photographs of Abhimanyu. After that the police took Abhimanyu into custody after the investigation. A police official said that nothing was clear in the initial footage and we could not recognize his (Abhimanyu). Later, when he saw some more footage, he got a clean photo after which the accused was arrested from Kurla.
