Three and a half lakh doses of vaccine arrived from Mumbai, tomorrow corona vaccination will start in 11 more districts of the UP.

The rate of corona infection is decreasing day by day. Apart from new cases, the number of patients recovering is also steadily decreasing. Simultaneously, the government is eyeing vaccination for those above 18 years of age. Constant arrangements are being made for vaccination campaign in 18 districts of the state simultaneously. A consignment of three and a half lakh doses also reached Lucknow on Saturday from Mumbai.

With the second wave of corona intensifying, the vaccination of those between the ages of 18 to 44 started in the state from May 1. The government first started in Lucknow, Prayagraj, Kanpur Nagar, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Bareilly and Meerut with the most infections. Now that the infection rate is somewhat lower and recovery rate seems to be improving, then Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wants to increase the speed of vaccination as well.

Immunization will start in 11 other districts from Monday. These new districts include Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Firozabad, Ghaziabad, Jhansi, Mathura, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Shahjahanpur and Gautam Budh Nagar. Along with intensifying vaccination, the government has stepped up efforts to manage vaccines adequately.
