From Today, The festival of Navaratri has started, the huge crowd of devotees is seen in the temples of many cities of the country. Let us tell you that on the first day of Navratri, worshiping of Ma Shailaputri is performed along with setting up the Kalash. With this, Hindu New Year also begins. There are nine forms of Goddess Durga. Durga ji is known in the first form as 'Shailputri'. Ma Shailputri is the first in the Navadurgas.

The first form of Bhagwati is dedicated to Ma Shailaputri. Born in the family of parvatraj himalaya and the daughter of the Himalayas , the devi was named as 'Shailputri'. Ma Shailputri is riding on the Taurus named Nandi and there is a trident in her right hand and a lotus flower in the left hand. The worship of Ma Shailaputri brings stability and persistence in life. Especially, women have special benefits from worshiping of Ma Shailputri. Along with this, women's family status, married life, suffering and illness are removed by the grace of Ma Shailpuri. On the first day of Navaratri, set a picture of Ma Shail Putri on a red or white cloth on a wooden plate

Ma Shailputri is very dear to the white things, so offer her White flowers with white barfi.

To destroy all the miseries of life and negative forces of life, put a clove supari mishri on a leaf and offer it to goddess.
