Watch Video, Why Ranu Mandol gets upset with fan who wanted a selfie

Social Media sensation Ranu Mandol, who was given a chance by Himesh Reshammiya to sing in his film, has irked her fans on social media after a video of the Internet sensation went viral. In the video, Mandol is seen getting upset with a fan who tapped her on her hand to ask for a selfie.

Not happy with the woman’s gesture, Mandol reprimanded the woman and said, “Iska matlab kya hai? (What does this mean)” while mimicking what the woman did. However, the woman didn’t say anything and just smiled for the selfie.

But social media users commented on the viral video and questioned Ranu Mandol’s high-headed behaviour. While one of the users made a sarcastic comment, “Don’t touch me, I’m celeb now : Ranu Mondal. We made her celebrity and now see her attitude,” another user wrote, “Really sad we all twitterati supp her when her station vala video came see her behaviour after becoming celebrity Such insult of any fan is pathetic.” Many others slammed Mandol for her apparent rude behavior.

Mandol gained popularity after a video of her singing “Ek pyaar ka naghma hai”, at a railway platform, went viral. Himesh Reshammiya took notice of her talent and she recorded three songs, “Teri Meri Kahani”, “Aadat” and “Aashiqui Mein Teri” with the music composer.

Independent filmmaker Hrishikesh Mondal was also said to be planning a biopic on the internet sensation and singer.
