Number of corona patients decreased in the last two days in UP, the state government does not want to take any chance. In view of this, the government has decided to extend the lockdown till May 17 in the state.

Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal has confirmed this. He said it would be like a partial corona curfew upto 17 may. During this time all necessary services will continue.

In fact, after the panchayat elections, the transition in the villages is spreading rapidly. Removal of curfew may further increase infection in villages. At the same time, 14 May is the festival of Eid. As such, it has been decided to increase the lockdown without taking any risk. Significantly, there is a partial corona curfew in UP since April 30. As a result of this, there has been a decrease of 60 thousand in active cases of corona.
