UP cops challan 31,235 people for not wearing mask

UP Police cracked down on Covid norms violations and challaned as many as 31235 people for not wearing mask.

Police conducted checking and found as many as 31325 persons roaming around without wearing mask properly even during the Sunday curfew.

ADG Law & order ,prashant kumar said that maximum 5213 challans dfor not wearing mask were issued in meerut police zone, and least 1353 in Pryagrajraj zone.

Meanwhile ,Among district, the highest number of 2926 persons found roaming without masks were reported in lucknow police commissionerate and were fined .

A sum of Rs.66 lakh was realized as fine from those not wearing mask.

As many as 34817 locations ,including hotspots,markets,residents and sensitive places were sanitized by the fire department across the state.
