An Indian research has shown that electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDs), which are also known as E-cigarettes, are less dangerous for health compared to normal cigarettes and can be effective weapons of quitting smoking.

Professor of North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, in this study. R.N. Sharan and his team have made 'a systematic review of published 299 scientific literature'. In this, the toxicity of nicotine, other chemicals and metal ions that have been cigarette smoking or during e-cigarette smoking has been compared. According to the team, "Despite the increased awareness and regulatory measures to discourage cigarette consumption, there has been no decline in the use of tobacco worldwide." In this case, there is a need to consider the selection of tobacco loss reduction options like ENDS or e-cigarette. Prof. Sharan said, "This is the first attempt by experts in India to evaluate the suitability of ENDs or e-cigarette."
