Something is not well at shantiniketan, Vishwabharti university, VC asked for his security to PM Modi.

In a letter written to PM Modi, Bidyut Chakraborty accused TMC district president Anubrata Mondal of threatening him with dire consequences after the West Bengal Assembly elections.

"He said he will teach me a lesson which I shall never forget in my life," Bidyut Chakraborty said. He also urged PM Modi to ensure his family's safety.

"Under these circumstances, this is an earnest request to you to adopt steps to avoid untoward incidents in the campus and to ensure my physical well-being along with family members," he said.

Last month, a purported audio clip of Bidyut Chakraborty threatening to close down the premier central university had gone viral.

"I will ensure Visva-Bharati is closed down. But I am not issuing any threat. Visva-Bharati has become a hotbed of thieves and dacoits. Otherwise, how come (TMC leader) Anubrata Mondal gets away by saying the VC is insane,
