Trust Sriram Raghavan to come up with something unique every time. Pinkvilla earlier reported that like Andhadhun, the filmmaker’s next with Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi is also inspired by an international short film, and will go on floors from April 2021. We also revealed that the film will be shot as a quickie with a start to finish schedule in Pune. And now, we have another exclusive update on the much-anticipated film, which marks the first collaboration for the trio of Kat-Vijay and Sriram.

“It’s yet another film from Sriram that would keep the viewers on the edge of their seat, and this time around, he is planning it as a straight 90-minute film. In-fact, the story is written in a way that it does not even warrant an interval. It’s going to follow a fast-paced pattern of storytelling, that Sriram is synonymous with, and there won’t be any breaks in between,” revealed a source close to the development, adding further that the even the film will be shot in less than 30 days at real locations of Pune with some bits even in Mumbai.

“It’s going to be a well-planned schedule with maximum edit work done in the script itself. While many filmmakers prefer to have prolonged schedule with excessive stock footage, with Sriram, what he shoots is what will translate on the screen. He is being sure on the stuff he wants to film with the leading pair, more so in the covid times, to avoid being outdoors for a longer period,” the source added.

The yet untitled film will be produced by Sriram himself, however, a studio partner is expected to come on board soon. Katrina is currently busy shooting for her horror comedy, PhoneBhoot with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter. In March, the actress will move on to Tiger 3 with Salman Khan and then, take a break in April for Sriram’s film before jumping back to being Zoya again from mid-May.
