MNM chief Kamal Haasan has written a petition to South Coimbatore election officer accusing BJP of distributing tokens as a promise to give money once the election is over and BJP emerges victorious.
Kamal Haasan is pitted against BJP candidate Vanathi Srinivasan and the sitting Congress MLA Mayura Jayakumar. In his first election, Kamal Haasan has challenged the ruling AIADMK and opposition DMK in Tamil Nadu and pitched himself against the national parties BJP and Congress in Coimbatore South constituency.

Kamal Haasan reached the Coimbatore South constituency on Tuesday morning after casting his vote early morning in Chennai. He was accompanied by his daughters Shruti Haasan and Akshara.
Voters at the Chennai polling were miffed after Kamal Haasan arrived with his daughters, triggering overcrowding at the polling booth.
Tamil Nadu is voting in a single-phase election across 234 seats in which AIADMK and BJP are seeking a re-election while DMK and Kamala Haasan's MNM has emerged as challengers.
